Fridays Poetry: Featured Post Winner

Congratulations to Dani for her winning contribution. It simply swept me away into the life of this beautiful creature ~

The scent was delicious
Purple soda pop joys
inside a long-stemmed
tea-cup
She tip-toed delicately
upon the top
balancing in grace
like a sky-dancer
resting her shoes
Her long straw disappeared
into its violet depths
and she drank in delightfully
Her powdered wings fluttered
ever so slightly
and her head swam
in passionate pleasure
until then-
she leaps ever so
graciously and lightly
upon the air-
again, dancing in the sky.

Haiku

Fragile beauty stirs
All that constricts liberty
Open eyes and soul

Funny, I wrote a haiku, too. :)

Soft wings flutter down
Alight gently, pretty one
Sip nectar, kiss air.

She flew away
One bright day
Searching the skies
Yet knowing inside
Where she'd go
