Congratulations to bel on the winning post.
The team's new mascot, while beautiful and creepy at the same time, was hard to see without magnification and was frequently misplaced or seen fleeing from stray cats.
I couldn't resist using another of Heather's photos today.

The beauty and power of the poised and waiting insect takes your breath away as you wait for the anticpated jump.
The slight and sudden movement in the grass caught my eye and I found myself kneeling in the green with my rear in the air. Like a child, my eyes were focused on the tiny creature in front of my face. Every little detail on its surface took my breath away.
Some may find the little thing rather ugly, but I was completely awed by the unique texture of its hard surface and the smooth, shiny and sleek appearance of the eyes made it so mysterious to me. I was quite sure it gazed right back up at me, the giant before it, and it may have been frozen there by some instinct to camouflage itself from the monster it beheld. I watched as it poised itself to jump and then lept with one quick flick of it's long back legs, and it was gone.
I am daily awed by such tiny details in this world. It never fails to renew my faith and strengthen my resolve in believing in a loving higher power who created all of these things for a great purpose, down to the very simplest of creatures or the tiniest grains of sand.
The tightly coiled spring,
Ready to leap.
Beauty in motion.
Do you give equal time to the ants?
