The cheering throngs, the roaring lions, the rushing gladiators ... dust.
History is always but a glance out our rear window.
Windows of opportunity reflect my dreams for a bright future.
Think of all the lives extinguished by a hungry dictator.
From my view out the window, I absorbed history's ghosts.
Alone in darkness
But then
A light hits my window
Tired and dragging, one more battle to fight... to live.
