Mondays Meme: Featured Post Winner

Congratulations Dani!
I enjoyed the way that you
combined your memory of puppies :)

Soft and dark,
Warm and cuddly,
Playful and friendly,
Loving and sweet

Deep, gentle eyes
Floppy, long ears
Quick, wet kisses
Cold, damp noses

Dirty little paw prints
Stinkly little puddles
Guilty little glances and
Funny forgiving loves

Giggles and tackles
Wags and wiggles
Best friends forever
Puppy of my own

Sweet dog
Big black liquid eyes
Down at the end of steps
I walked down holding out my hand
He barked some more leaped and bit me so hard
I cried, Mama came out with owner
Dog had his shots, I got
Bandaged, went home.
Sweet dog.

I just love the puppies..I do. But I honestly do not enjoy the 500 trips out to piddle and the piddle on the hardwood floor and the shoes chewed. So I will love this sweet little darling from right here and enjoy my Lucy Lu.
She came to us from a friend who did not want her. We were the fourth family in her first year. Why she was passed on..I do not know for she is a doll! Beautiful and smart, willing and loving. Even tempered for a border collie. I was also thrilled that she was house trained and didn't chew except on her own bones!!
So as much as I love that sweetie..I will keep my Lucy Lu thank you:)

Don't you just love it when a puppy dog gives you that "I know you caught me" look? All of a sudden, your eyes meet his soulful gaze and you both know that his playfulness maybe went a little too far. I remember when my not so little "Hobo" beagle decided to hide out and slobber all over my new tennis shoes. I was not a happy fifteen year old. I couldn't stay mad too long because he knew how to waddle next to me and give me those heartwarming eyes.
