Tuesdays Tale

Congratulations morganna for your winning contribution! Fun entries, everyone!

-why are we here?
the whisper came from underneath.
-i don't know. my little girl didn't play with me anymore. then i was brought here.
-i heard we're going to be melted down to make new dolls.
the pile shook with moans.
-shh. someone's coming.
A light clicked on.
"I put all the dolls in here. I thought after the girls got their backpacks of supplies they could come in here and choose a doll each. And the trucks are across the hall for the boys."
"Excellent. I'm so glad you were sent here to help organize this. We've never had so many children needing help with school supplies as this year."
"I know."
The light clicked off.

Go visit Michelle to see more of her wonderful images!

Every day, I would play in the cupboard full of little people. Daddy brought home the biggest cupboard with doors and three floor levels for my little people. I sat there, adding in special touches, day after day. The walls were built from cardboard and designed to fit each special room. Decorated with furniture and doilies for rugs, it all came together perfectly. They even had a garage in the unit.

Every night, I would set them all just right...just so, and the next morning I would check on them. I would peek into the cupboard to see if any of them had moved through out the night.

Yes. They all had feelings of their own.

My sisters and I used to play with Barbies and they would go to dances where they would dance so hard - until their necks broke and we'd have to shove their head onto another body. So then the Barbie's head couldn't move anymore and sometimes the neck looked unnaturally too short.
Awe- memories! But that's not my entry. :) Just a memory.

"Mommy, but where are their shoes? I had them in that special bag. You know, the one that I always keep under my bed. Wait! I think I saw my brothers in here yesterday. Mommy, I think they took my princess' shoes."

"Are you sure honey? Maybe we just misplaced the bag."

"Mommy, you KNOW how the brothers are. They are sneaky. Let's go check out their soldier bin. I remember that they like to use the shoes as grenades or something."

(Can you tell that I have a house full of boys and one little princess?)
