"They truly are a class of characters," Mrs. Lawrence remarked as she finished off the last of her Oreo's. Teaching never grew old for her. Mrs. Lawrence enjoyed the witticisms and unpredictability of her students. Many of her colleagues would just shake their heads as they watched Mrs. L's colorful bunch as they walked into the cafeteria each day. By June, you knew that all of Mrs. Lawrence's kids had the chance to explore that little bit of drama inside each of them. Even the shyest boy or girl would sparkle under Mrs. Lawrence's gentle dramatic direction. "All my kids are stars in my book," she bragged to any who ventured into her classroom. Improv learning turned out to have its own special twist when Mrs. Lawrence began to teach.
