Mondays Meme: Featured Post Winner

Wonderful memories shared, septembermom :)

Sometimes the improvised games are the best ones to entertain little kids. I remember how the kids enjoyed a little bowling game on the kitchen table. The apples in the fridge turned out to be great bowling balls. Small paper cups were the perfect pins. It was a nice time for all of us to giggle and play. I think I'll try that game again soon!

I was tempted to write something about my grandma being able to peel an apple in one long strip with a paring knife but remembered this so thought I'd share it instead:

"You can do three, but I can do more. You have 3, but I have 4." from Ten Apples Up On Top by Theo. LeSeig (Dr. Seuss)

My best friend loved apples and we had a couple apple trees in my yard so we would always pick a couple apples when she visited to munch on while we climbed up into my tree house or played on our trampoline. It was such a tradition that my mom mistakened apples for my own favorite fruit instead of my friend's. After that I realized I needed to show who I was better. I have always just blended in with what everyone else likes best and let my own interests fall to the wayside. I don't hesitate to mention my own favorites now. As far as I have chosen one.
