Fridays Poetry: Featured Post Winner

Congratulations Kim on the winning contribution. Absolutely beautiful!

His ashes disappeared into the vast pool.
It was as he would have liked.
One with the sea.
Her heart said a small prayer, a small goodbye
And headed back.

Where the beginning meets the end, but where?

Waves splash like the endless tick-tocking of the clock.

Time presses on and the years continue to pass.

The New Year comes and goes but the ocean beach doesn't care.

This sea, is not what it should be. I should be walking along the coast I was forced to flee.

The icy waves claw at my feet, cold, like fear, though there's nothing to fear here.

When will the dull ache, the memories subside? Like the sand on the beach, like the waves; with time.

What a beautiful picture! I love the beach so had no trouble penning this:

The peaceful rhythm of the waves envelops me.
The cerulean sky and sea pacifies my soul.
I am at once something larger than myself.
My spirit is beyond anyone else’s control.
