Thanks Abbey for your contribution! Great stuff!

Duck 1: Hey Buddy! Over there, that red building-i here there is some sweet fresh bread and some ladies. You wanna take this boat and pick up some chicks?

Duck 2: wouldn't it be easier if we just swam over?

Duck 1: yeah but that won't impress them. Any old quack can do that!

Duck 2: True. ok, so lets get this thing moving. how do we turn it over?

Duck 1: i think there is a button in the grass we push. Help me find it?

Duck 2: alright dude, but i think it would still be easier to just swim over.

(The chicks flew the coop before they found their magic button)

Congrats, Don, for your winning contribution. Thanks for sharing, guys! :)

I was a senior in high school when an acquaintance took advantage of a Free Speech Day in American Government to give share a gospel verse and a short message. Don Powell, who I had known as being fairly cowardly, bravely spoke from the Bible verse... Behold, I stand at the door and knock. And if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come it to him, and sup with him, and he with me.

Don went on to say the Jesus was alive and wanted to be my fried. He said that Jesus was waiting for me to issue an invitation... a simple prayer.

Class ended, but before my next class began... I offered up a simple little prayer... and... He... came... in!

The year? 1971. The year I discovered that Jesus is the Friend of sinners and the Transformer of lives.

(If God could change Don Powell, then he could change Don Evans. Woohoo!)

Thank you bel for your winning contribution!

I couldn't resist running and running, the trees in the corners of my vision white blurs blending with lime and emerald and charcoal. I ran until I was out of breath. Then I pushed just a little more until I absolutely had to stop, leaning against one of the slender paper-covered pillars, gasping, panting. I didn't know how far I had run. Looking around, I wasn't even sure which direction I had come from. It was all the same, these beautiful trunks shooting up from the ground, reaching toward the sky, scattering pale green sprays against the blue. I caught my breath and started to run again.

Congrats to septembermom for your winning contribution! Great entries everyone! It's getting harder and harder to choose a winner!

She knew that he was in there with his latest model. His gaze rested on another young girl hoping to live as his muse. His paintbrush had a way of transforming the most subtle look in a portrait. Why did she keep passing by his studio each night? There were other ways to get home. Would she ever admit that his eyes still focused on hers in all remembered and forgotten dreams?

Congratulations to septembermom for her winning contribution!

She played around with verse at times. Words and images would float around in her mind looking for a place to rest. At seventeen, she wasn't sure where her life would take her. With wonder and ideas, she would come to her favorite spot under the tree of her youth to find the words for her next line. With pencil in hand, she would just wait and wait until the land and air would offer a Muse to her.

Congratulations to Dani for her winning contribution:

I remember the first time I saw a spider and truly appreciated its beauty instead of either screaming and running, or grossing out. It seems the closer you get, the more beautiful they are. And what they can do- amazing! It defies all, that they can create something so intricate and beautiful, yet so strong - from something within themselves.
